The Open Journal of Ecology (OJE), a peer-reviewed open-access journal, is seeking papers for the upcoming special issue on „Industrial Ecology“.
Industrial Ecology has been defined as a “systems-based, multidisciplinary discourse that seeks to understand emergent behavior of complex integrated human/natural systems”. The field usually involves aspects of sociology, the environment, economy and technology. Industrial ecology seeks to quantify the material flows and document the industrial processes that make modern society function. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and development in the area of industrial ecology.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring industrial ecology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
Application of natural resources in industry
Material and energy flow
Technological change and the environment
Life-cycle planning, design and assessment
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Industrial Ecology” should be chosen during your submission.
